Position Profile:

Brief Description:

The Internal Communications Business Partner will be responsible for the end-to-to-end development and execution of communications plans that leverage executive voices across Internal Communications channels. This individual is responsible for supporting the preparation and management of all aspects of Internal Communications and thought leadership opportunities for a group of Executive Committee (EC) members. Support for EC members will be designed in a way that is strategic, proactive, inspirational and supports our enterprise business strategy and goals. As such, this employee communications leader will work closely with the global head of employee communications chiefs of staff and other key stakeholders to support the EC members’ internal engagement platform including, but not limited to, participation in enterprise and functional town hall meetings and a steady presence across our internal channels.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Independently develop and implement internal and executive communications strategies for EC members that align to the global employee communications framework and strategy.
  • Proactively plan, write and deliver clear and inspirational content for executives that is related to key engagement initiatives. Deliver executive messages and support executive engagement activities that strengthen the value proposition for employees and align with the enterprise business strategy.
  • Possess the depth of experience and gravitas needed to provide advice and counsel to EC members on opportunities for internal engagement, ensuring they are amplifying messages that align to both corporate strategy and the enterprise communications strategy.
  • Ensure consistent and timely information to employees through various communications platforms and channels, including town halls, the intranet, and internal social media outlets
  • Ensure that EC members remain tuned in and responsive to employee experience and engagement as measured anecdotally and through continuous listening strategies.
  • Set measurable goals for execution of internal and executive communications strategies and ensure progress is tracked and reported.
  • Work in lockstep with the global head of global employee communications and collaboratively across the entire corporate communications function to deliver holistic Internal Communications programs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

  • Minimum 8-10 years corporate communications experience with a focus in employee engagement, corporate and executive communications (including speech writing).
  • Proven experience confidently interacting with and counseling corporate executives and key internal partners with best in-class employee communication practices, and ensuring messaging is consistent across the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including success managing major projects and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong writing, editing and communications skills across multiple media, including speeches, email, video scripts, editorial and social content.
  • Creative thinker and passionate about building culture.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Must possess a learning orientation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive with ability to be in the “higher helicopter” and anticipate needs of executives.
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
  • Thinks strategically but stays on top of tactical execution and delivers high quality results on time.
  • Collaborative in approach and seeks the views and contributions of others in a global environment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to effectively deal with conflicting agendas and fluctuating priorities.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision to plan and prioritize work.
  • Available to travel as business needs require.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in life sciences, biotechnology or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
  • Required to be fluent in spoken and written English, additional language fluencies are advantageous.
  • Experience helping lead implementation of large change initiatives.
  • Highly creative.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills; especially PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience managing projects and vendors.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience. Master’s Degree a plus.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $172,000-$225,750. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
