Overview
Worldwide Incentive Compensation (WWIC) is the team at Microsoft that is responsible for the design, implementation and operations related to the sales and incentive plans across all of Microsoft impacting 40K+ employees. About the Role
New Commerce Experience (NCE) is a licensing platform that simplifies and improves the way customers buy cloud services, transitioning from a complex sales model with many different agreements (Legacy), to a single Microsoft Customer Agreement.
We are looking for an experienced Director Business Program Manager to help own and manage the end-to-end workstreams for WWIC related to the implementation of New Commerce Experience (NCE) at Microsoft. This will involve working with various teams across WWIC and stakeholders in finance, engineering and operations to ensure the right data and rules are processed and integrated into our compensation systems and workflow and ensures our 40K+ sellers are compensated correctly in alignment with the defined policies. Workstreams will include:
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NCE and EA Cube; awareness of impact and dependencies across wider Microsoft NCE v-team to ensure WWIC needs are documented and factored
  • Baselining of current state and future state to align with wider Microsoft strategy and compensation needs
  • Creation and definition of Business Requirement Documentation (BRD) for teams to leverage for build, integration and support; building roadmap and integration into semester prioritization and tooling ecosystem
  • Assistance with seller education and awareness of NCE and compensation impact/changes

Responsibilities
  • Oversees a portfolio of projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for crucial programs. Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. Establishes objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive collaborative manner with all stakeholders.
  • Acts as subject matter expert to drive others to understand mapping or how systems work and impact one another. Drives the collaboration and leverages other teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales) to ensure program processes are rigorous and executed efficiently. Develops processes around scope and scheduled changes for programs impacting Microsoft and communicates it to stakeholders. Recognizes process gaps/inefficiencies and drives strategies for optimization.
  • Utilizes direction and strategy from leadership to advocate and influence sponsorship regarding business area of expertise in order to create and execute plans that shift current priorities to new organizational initiatives and objectives, and influences others to change behavior accordingly. Drives the definition of the vision and strategy for change, broad and specific impact, and the flow of communication to the organization. Ensures buy in and adoption of the new program or change by others in the organization. Drives others to develop the collateral required to enable key stakeholders and others to be onboard.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in Program Management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
