Role overview
The Director of Business Planning, reporting to the CEO and dotted line to Chief People Officer, is focused on managing and coordinating planning activities across the business. The role will work collaboratively with senior leaders to carry out our planning rhythms, enable the execution of the business and better hold people accountable to their commitments.
A day in the life…
- Drive the process for annual Business Planning; oversee strategic Business Planning process from development through successful execution under the guidance of management
- Develop strong working relationships with executive leaders, business partners, and stakeholders to learn the business and partner to drive the achievement of company metrics
- Drive Internal Leadership Meetings (i.e. Monthly Business Reviews, Semi-Annual Leadership Summit, Annual Strategy Session, etc) from preparation to meeting execution, including event management, agenda creation, setting expectations with presenters, driving the meeting, capturing action items and post-meeting follow-up
- Support with Quarterly Board Meetings from preparation to meeting execution, including work-back plans, prep meetings, curation of content and support during the Board Meeting
- In partnership with the CEO, CFO, Chief Product Officer and Chief People Officer, support with the Annual Planning Process beginning with budget planning, setting targets, determining company initiatives, and distilling the annual plan throughout the company
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop visually compelling and informative presentation materials, including slides, to effectively communicate key messages, strategies, and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion, maintaining trust and professionalism in all interactions
- Undertake special projects and initiatives, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs
- Demonstrate influence skills and lead by example, acting as a coach and creating agents of change within the business
What we are looking for…
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or Bachelor's Degree and equivalent combination of prior relevant experience
- 7- 10+ years’ experience in corporate environment
- Strong personal presence and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
- Detail-oriented, inquisitive, problem-solving in nature
- Highly entrepreneurial, self-starter and action oriented
- Very hands-on in defining objectives and producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Master of Microsoft Office (especially, Excel and PowerPoint)
Hiring Range
$165,000
Annual
Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
