Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and personable Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our practice. Responsibilities:
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, follow-ups, and cancellations
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience during their visit
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient scheduling and optimal patient care
- Verify insurance coverage and communicate financial responsibilities to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with billing and payment processing as necessary
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and organizing documents
- Collaborate with team members to achieve practice goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency with Dental Scheduling software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients of all ages
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols
- Basic understanding of billing and insurance claims processing
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental assisting or office administration is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
