Dental Receptionist

Dental office specializing in periodontics needs an individual to work full time (4 days) in our Kokomo office. This person will run the front desk. The tasks involved include: checking patients in and out, answering phones, assisting in cleaning rooms after surgical procedures and other duties as assigned.

To be considered for employment, individuals applying for the position of dental office receptionist are required to possess the following attributes:

• Good knowledge of common terminologies in dental practice
• Ability to use computers in recording and processing information
• Good knowledge of dental insurance
• Excellent knowledge of, and the ability to apply information management principles to work on a daily basis
• Ability to keep records and patients’ personal information private
• Must be initiative
• Possess interpersonal skills
• Outstanding customer relations skills to effectively handle clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with Dentrix is a plus
• Ability to travel for training

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Ensure patients have a great experience
• Greet and check-in patients with a smile
• Collect payments and verify insurance
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Prepare and maintain patient charts neatly and accurately
• Collect and post payments and record receipts
• Balance nightly deposits and complete credit card processing
• Other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager
