Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Dental Receptionist and Office Manager to join our team. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a Dental Office setting. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments using dental software
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Collect and record patient information, including medical history and treatment plans
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a medical or Dental Office setting is preferred but not necessary
- Proficient in medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing insurance claims
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with managed care plans and utilization management processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management principles
- Experience supervising staff is an advantage
