Dental Office Receptionist

Harrison Dental Group has multiple locations in Fort Wayne, IN. We are a growing, family-owned private practice focused on providing comprehensive care with excellent customer service and compassion. We serve a diverse patient base of all ages (family practice). Each of our locations is state-of-the-art, with digital records, x-rays, modern equipment, and attractive facilities.

As a Dental Receptionist at Harrison Dental Group, you will be providing services such as

• Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed.
• Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
• Update patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures.
• Communicating with medical insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments.
• Verifying methods of payment and collecting co-insurance payments as needed.
• Prepare "end of day" reports

• Arranging referrals to other dental specialists.
• You should also be able to prepare billing statements.

Dental Receptionist Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is advantageous.
• Proven experience working in a Dental Office preferred.
• Some knowledge of dental terminology.
• Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
• Good telephone etiquette.
• Excellent customer service skills.

This position works Monday - Thursday approximately 32 hours a week. Benefits include: Paid holidays, paid vacation. Medical insurance is a benefit for those working 30+ hours/week on average.'
