Position Summary
A Customer Service / Sales Support Representative will act as a liaison, provide product / services information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. This includes responding to sales staff technical questions and bid requests while also performing administrative tasks such as researching new products or strategies for the company’s sales success.
This position is responsible for answering customer inquiries and scheduling meetings with customers about their order status. Responsible to record trends based on past successes to create more accurate forecasts so the company is able offer better service going forward.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.
- Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
- Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses and relevant problems.
- Provide data and guides to help the sales team.
- Develop and monitor performance indicators.
- Liaise with account managers to support specific sales strategies.
- Stay up to date with new product and feature launches and ensure sales team is on board.
- Review pending orders and specific customers’ requests to ensure excellent Customer Service and customer experience.
- Identify where improvement is needed in sales practices and make suggestions for improvements.
- Utilizes CRM system to generate quotes and bids for retail sales team.
- Utilizes internet and other tools to find information on products associated with targeted quotes and bids.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure Customer Service satisfaction.
- Resolves Customer Service issues by investigating the concern, developing solutions and the applicable follow up to make sure the concern is resolved.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Highschool Graduate
- Proven work experience as a Sales support specialist or Sales support associate
- Hands on experience with CRM system
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
- In-depth understanding of sales principles and Customer Service practices
- Good organizational and time management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Lighting industry experience a plus.
- Excellent communication & organization skills
