This position is not like a typical sales job! There are no quotas or commissions. No mandatory overtime or weekend hours are required. Our Sales and Service department focuses on bringing excitement to all customer interactions and offering advice for other car-people that are looking to upgrade their lighting. Our Marketing team does a great job advertising and providing informational videos on our YouTube channel and social media platforms so the customer already has a good idea of what they want before you even speak to them!
As a Service Representative at Diode Dynamics, you will be responsible for working directly with customers, via phone and email, for sales and service needs, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. Full training will be provided in electronics and Automotive Lighting, to ensure your success. You will become a key member of a quickly-expanding team, in a fast-paced environment. You will be the first point of contact for other automotive enthusiasts who need your help deciding the best solution for their Automotive Lighting needs - or the customer may just need assistance in installing a product. Regardless of the situation, our interactions are always professional and informative, but still offer the comfort of an everyday conversation with someone else who loves everything automotive. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Answering inbound calls and emails from existing and new customers. (80% of workload)
- Helping in-store customers. (20% of workload)
- Assisting customers with warranty support, troubleshooting, and finding the right product to meet their needs.
- Entry of purchase orders, warranties, and exchanges into our online sales database.
- With the help of the 8-week training course provided, learn, and understand our products and technology in order to effectively meet our customers' needs.
- Maintaining a consistently positive attitude and customer-first approach to deliver stellar service to all customers.
- Updating e-commerce website with item information and images.
- Effectively communicating our quality brand and excellent service standards in every customer interaction.
- The ability to be a team player and to support your co-workers is essential.
- Strong computer competency, and able to type at least 50 WPM.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously over the phone.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Excellent grammar and communication skills.
- Automotive or electronics experience a plus, but not required.
- Associates Degree required.
- Competitive salary, based on experience.
- Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm.
