The Finance Internship will allow the successful candidate to greatly enhance their real-life experiences and learn modern skillsets within the field that they are studying. It is an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
Coming out of this internship, the candidate will have a better understanding of:
- Financial planning, forecasting and KPI reporting
- Fiscal period close process and results analysis from a financial and managerial accounting perspective
- Presentation development and data validation for weekly and monthly fiscal reporting
- Discretionary spending budget management and ROI analysis
- Development of improved process for budget reconciliations for SG&A expenditure to be shared with leadership across all areas of the organization
- Reporting and analytics tools (i.e. SAP, SAC) and their real time applications across the department, including implementation and testing of new tools
- How to improve tools, templates, and process to enable the team to maximize efficiency
- Collaboration cross functionally, understanding Finance's role across the business and in decision making
- Other duties as assigned
- Eligible candidates must be currently working towards completing Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Basic understanding of finance and accounting concepts
- Academic excellence or competency within financial or quantitative field
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Desire and ability to work collaboratively and independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Comfortable with large amounts of data
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines
- Interest in consumer-packaged goods industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
