Intern - Finance

The Finance Internship will allow the successful candidate to greatly enhance their real-life experiences and learn modern skillsets within the field that they are studying. It is an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.

Coming out of this internship, the candidate will have a better understanding of:

• Financial planning, forecasting and KPI reporting
• Fiscal period close process and results analysis from a financial and managerial accounting perspective
• Presentation development and data validation for weekly and monthly fiscal reporting
• Discretionary spending budget management and ROI analysis
• Development of improved process for budget reconciliations for SG&A expenditure to be shared with leadership across all areas of the organization
• Reporting and analytics tools (i.e. SAP, SAC) and their real time applications across the department, including implementation and testing of new tools
• How to improve tools, templates, and process to enable the team to maximize efficiency
• Collaboration cross functionally, understanding Finance's role across the business and in decision making
• Other duties as assigned

• Eligible candidates must be currently working towards completing Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Basic understanding of finance and accounting concepts
• Academic excellence or competency within financial or quantitative field
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Desire and ability to work collaboratively and independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Comfortable with large amounts of data
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines
• Interest in consumer-packaged goods industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
