Position Summary
To serve our internal and external customers by selling product via telephone and accurately entering sales orders into company database in order to increase sales and profits.
Essential Functions
- Contacts customer via telephone and/or email according to established call schedule to take product order; informs and sells in promotions, new products, additional products and items (e.g. cups) to customer in order to increase profitability and sales.
- Accurately enters customer orders into company database and orders extra product for delivery trucks according to established standards.
- Processes and compiles order recap sheets; distributes recap sheets, driver manifests, instruction sheets and POS materials (e.g. vendor tags, clings) and other paperwork to delivery drivers.
- Communicates with customers and other employees regarding requests for information (e.g. delivery schedule), new items and pricing; supervisor and management team regarding any problems or issues.
- Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, Federal/State/Local laws).
- Completes time-off requests, order recap sheets, emergency delivery invoices; customer lists and other required paperwork according to established standards.
- Assists customers from other departments regarding issues (e.g. delivery schedule, service); documents issues and forwards on to appropriate Pepsi personnel for problem resolution.
- Maintains confidentiality of pricing information, customer information and other confidential information.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum High School or GED
Experience
0 - 1 years in Sales with a consumer product line; previous
telephone sales experience strongly preferred.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, VIP.
Additional Requirements
Bi-lingual position requires selected candidate to be bi-lingual in Spanish in both oral and written form. Knowledge of: beverage market sales practices and policies; product line and product codes; basic selling skills; telephone etiquette; Microsoft Office Suite, VIP databases. Skill in: internal and external Customer Service. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; meet deadlines in a pressured situation; adapt to change; follow through; communicate effectively with customers, other employees and develop good working relationships; be detail oriented; problem solve; operate a computer, copier, printer, fax machine; read and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction).
