Customer Service (Manufacturing, Construction, or Distribution exp. req) Description
Our client, an innovative leader in the heating cables industry, is looking for a Customer Service Representative to add to their team near Danbury, CT. You will be responsible for supporting the Outside Sales staff. This role is a blend of Customer Service and inside sales, offering technical support, order processing, and sales support to retailers and consumers across the US, Mexico, and Canada. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing a variety of customer interactions and supporting outside sales staff. As part of the sales team, you will earn commissions based on the success of the outside sales team from your efforts. This is a great opportunity to join a company that has a “small company feel” with the backing of a big company. Customer Service (Manufacturing, Construction, or Distribution exp. req) Responsibilities
● Respond to Customer Service emails, phone calls, and quote requests.
● Provide technical support and process returns as needed.
● Enter orders into the ERP system and oversee shipment processing.
● Maintain and enhance customer relationships, supporting promotional activities and events
● Engage in proactive outreach, including attempts to revive dormant accounts
● Follow up on the status of client orders and quotes
● Provide technical support
● Serve as a backup when order entry person out
● Maintain and improve great relationships with existing and new customers
● Assist with promotional activities such as tradeshows, product launch events
Customer Service (Manufacturing, Construction, or Distribution exp. req) Qualifications
● 1+ years of sales or Customer Service experience required
● Manufacturing, Construction, Industrial, and/or distribution industry experience required
● 1+ years of Excel experience required
