Salary*This is not a summer position. We are looking for a year-round, long-term employee.*
We are seeking a Customer Service/Front Desk representative to join our team. We are a busy pet care facility offering dog Boarding and daycare. We have a beautiful, newly-renovated facility in Danbury, CT.
We are looking for candidates to help us provide an excellent experience to our pets and their owners.
Duties include:
-Greet clients and their pets when they arrive for daycare or boarding.
-Check in the dogs as they are dropped off, collecting relevant information such as feeding details or other instructions
-Quickly retrieve dogs from the playrooms when owners come to pick up
-Answer phone calls, book reservations, and provide information to current and prospective clients
-Maintain records in our software
-Provide feedback to owners about their dogs' behavior and health
-Light cleaning of office area
-And many more duties to keep our reception area and office running smoothly.
Our ideal candidate:
*Able to be warm and friendly with our awesome clients, 100% of the time
*Very comfortable working on a computer, with previous reception, sales and/or Customer Service responsibilities.
*Able to be fast, efficient, organized and detailed oriented as the Front Desk can get hectic with multiple dogs being dropped off or picked up at once.
*Physically able to pop up and down from desk 50 times a day to retrieve a dog from a playroom in our large building, and bring them out to their owner
*Lives locally to Danbury, CT because it will be difficult to find last-minute coverage for you if you get stuck in traffic, have car trouble, or get caught in snow.
*Comfortable with dogs. You will be interacting with dogs as you take them and return them to their owners. Additionally, during your training you will do some shifts on the playroom floor learning the operations of the business so that you can speak knowledgeably to our clients. You will be cross-trained so that you can jump in if needed to give a bath, cover a staff break in the playgroup, or feed the dogs if needed.
Hours and Schedule: This is a full-time position for 32-40 hours per week. It will include a mixture of morning (6:45am to 1pm) and afternoon (1pm to 7pm) shifts (probably more afternoons than mornings). A weekend day is required -- mostly Saturdays, but occasionally might be a Sunday.
