The Child Support Enforcement Aide ensures children of non-intact families receive court ordered financial and medical support from their non-custodial parents. They also facilitate self-sufficiency for single parent families by providing the full range of Support Enforcement services mandated by Federal law and State statute. The Child Support Enforcement Aide performs a variety of tasks related to management of a caseload: enters data into the computer system for case initiation, interviews obliges/obligors, monitors Child Support cases for compliance with court ordered payment plans and medical support obligations as established by the court, handles advanced location efforts, interstate document processing, direct income withholding, and performs other related work as assigned.
Examples of Duties
- Processes intake cases to be opened up for Child Support Services by gathering information from obliges/obligors, family, etc.
- Manages individual caseloads for enforcement, arrears, interstate, locate, and intake cases.
- Attends meetings, workshops, training and conference at the discretion of the supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires the equivalency of high school graduation, and four years of related legal, business, or human services experience in a direct or support service function. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the experience. The Child Support Enforcement Aide must have the ability to multi-task in a demand-driven work environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Somali)
Supplemental Information
HOURS: Normal working hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
