Description
The State Court Administrator's Office (SCAO) welcomes current Minnesota Judicial Branch employees to apply for the position of Child Support Analyst in the Child Support Unit of Court Services. This position supports the IV-D expedited process court program and provides technical assistance and support resources to both SCAO and local court managers.
Example of Duties
The following are examples of major job duties expected for this position to perform.
  • Scheduling: Work with local courts to maintain adequate calendar time and set dates, assign Magistrates based on FTE and availability, and help manage time off.
  • Data Quality: Monitor data for issues that require correction and/or training.
  • Court Staff Support: Develop training and resources, and answer questions.
  • Projects: Provide subject matter expertise input on both internal and external projects.
  • Reports: Work with IT to develop and update reports. Produce data/reports as needed for program. Support for Child Support Magistrate tracking.
  • Collaboration with business partners, such as the Department of Human Services and Minnesota County Attorneys Association.
  • Maintain program SharePoint page.
  • Work with the team of Child Support Magistrates and Magistrate Managers and respond to technical questions.

Typical Qualifications
Below are the past experiences that will enable success in the role. For education requirements listed, the equivalent number of years of related experience may serve as a substitute.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Considerable experience in court administration, criminal justice, social science research, customer service, administration, or related area
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a courtroom setting, such as a courtroom clerk.
  • Experience in the expedited Child Support process.
  • Familiarity with MNCIS.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting software.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to continuously learn and retain new material, concepts, and ongoing procedural changes.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and demonstrate respect and patience when interacting with Child Support Magistrates and other Judicial Officers and court staff.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is $37.43-$58.04 per hour ($78,154 - $121,188 annually). This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for State of MN employee benefits.

Supplemental Information
Position Logistics:This position is classified as Court Operations Analyst II and will work primarily normal business hours. The Child Support Unit is primarily remote. Occasional visits to the office at Minnesota Judicial Center in downtown St. Paul, MN may be required. In person meetings occur less than once per month.
