POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for prioritizing Slingco product opportunities with large IOU’s, Coops, Munis, and contractors and establishing Slingco on standards, or as the preferred choice for these end users. After establishing the end user standard or preference for Slingco products, then following through with the Slingco distributor network to obtain the orders for the product opportunities and ensure the continued flow of future orders.
You would be aided and supported in this process by working with the VP of US and Canada Utility Sales, Sales Manager, and other Outside Sales Personnel.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and update information in the CRM.
- Identify and research potential clients.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Train and develop other outside sales personnel to enable them to maintain client relationships.
- Coordinate with sales to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data for internal use.
- Create and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
- Create and implement strategies and processes to support the overall business.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Track and report on progress with end users.
- Drive the end-to-end sales process.
- Prepare and submit sales contracts.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Proficiency with Microsoft including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Power BI.
- Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients (50/50 travel time).
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skill.
- Highly organized and detailed in all aspects of the job.
- Demonstrated ability in business to business (B2B) sales.
- Familiarity with the utility industry including tools and materials, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Problem solving skills to prepare mutually beneficial solutions to the end user, distributor, and the company.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA in Business Administration or related field.
- Sales experience, preferably in the Electric Utility industry.
