The Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision making and internal & external reporting. Data sets may include sales and contracts data, supply chain and logistics data, and product master data obtained from ERP and financial systems. This is an integral role in the development of operational strategy and the assessment of business operations.

- Present and communicate complex data into easily understandable summary level data
- Perform risk analysis, cost studies, trend analysis, and other projects to support business development and supply chain activities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets and prepares periodic reporting and variance analysis; performs research to identify and offer recommendations to address variances
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and customer obligations to project future revenue and expenses and offer guidance
- Maintains customer and supplier performance metrics
- Create, compare, and merge multiple excel files to consolidate and summarize information
- Create and/or update PowerPoint presentations to support Corporate Leadership team
- Presents clear and concise written and verbal communication to support presentations (talking points) and emails or other internal and external communications
Essential Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
- Microsoft Excel proficiencies to include advanced functions such as Vlookups, IndexMatch, IF statements, Pivot Tables, Filters, and creation of multi-axis and complex Charts and Graphs
- Microsoft PowerPoint proficiencies to include preparation and revision of presentations including use of automation and embedded links, Charts and Graphs, Formatting text, photos, and objects
- Familiarity with these would be advantageous: PowerPivot, PowerBI, MS Access, SQL, Visual or other similar ERP system, project management tools
- Understanding of aerospace industry or other engineered to order manufacturing industry operations would be beneficial
- Communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Analytical skills to reason and analyze complex data sets and information to summarize data and solve problems.
- Business Acumen is critical for success in this role; Accuracy, exceptional organizational skills, and orientation toward details is non-negotiable
- Reliability to meet deadlines and complete work without continuous supervision is essential
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain or similar field is required
- Minimum of three (3) years in a similar role requiring extensive data analysis is required
Physical Requirements:
This role is performed on-site in a typical office environment during regular business hours. Employee must be able to move about the office environment.
- Employee may be required to occasionally lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Individuals must be able to effectively use computers and accessories to perform the job duties and communicate with stakeholders.
- Individuals must be able to communicate effectively to receive and convey verbal instructions and exchange of information.
Travel Requirements:
Regular travel is not required; occasional, negligible travel may be requested.
