The Project Management Business Analyst will play a critical role in the development of multiple parts of the business by analyzing past, current, and future business trends. This individual will establish holistic, technical strategies and implement solutions to achieve digital, data driven business outcomes within assigned business units. They will work within the Enterprise Project Management Office and cross-functionally with other business units.
This person will work directly with the business units to facilitate clearly gathering and documenting requirements (functional and system) and delivering business outcomes and solutions consistent with the Company's priorities. Works with SME's to obtain requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, workflow analysis and use cases. Evaluates the information from those multiple sources to develop an understanding of the business requests, needs and translates them into application and operational requirements. This person will also manage enterprise projects as well as support project managers within the business units to ensure successful outcomes. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead a project or group.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision, responsibilities will include but not limited to the following essential functions:

  • Identify and document existing business processes and owners.
  • Take on antiquated business processes and reports and develop into new streamlined product and process workflows.
  • Key contributor to Enterprise Project Management Office standup.
  • Facilitate and support Project Management and change management strategies within the business units.
  • Assist in identifying and solving weaknesses within the business units.
  • Improve business processes throughout the assigned business unit.
  • Participate and lead small to large projects to successful completion.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT personnel to ensure congruency with the Company's ongoing digital transformation.
  • Gather requirements by conducting interviews, workflow analysis, process analysis, and observation sessions to understand business problems.
  • Facilitate meetings with project stakeholders to determine project and application requirements.
  • Create, update, and follow validation and verification plans/user stories /sprints.
  • Create cost/benefit business case scenarios for projects and change requests.
  • Utilize risk management in all activities to ensure success.
  • Balance multiple deadlines and prioritize key deliverables.
  • Solve problems and recommend solutions.
  • Provide training to employees.
  • Participate in project technical reviews and review proposals for new or changed operating procedures on area of expertise to ensure efficient and economic operations.
  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Communicates and collaborates with teams to provide training and information required to implement processes, projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Experience: 4+ years of business analysis, Project Management and/or change management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field and/or equivalent background or experience
    • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable Project Management certifications highly desirable..
  • Performance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques.
  • Detail-oriented/relentless, willing to find cracks in the system to expose problems.
  • Ability to work in a highly-functioning team atmosphere and fast paced environment with multiple on-going projects.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in large, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Highly organized, results oriented, not afraid to think differently, speak out and have a willingness to learn.
  • Strategic thinker with exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to identify information and resources needed to complete tasks.

COMPENSATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of a normal office environment. No environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, boxes, etc. Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve standing and walking for brief periods. Travel to other office sites/locations is required occasionally.
