Job Description


As a key member of the Data transformation office, this business analyst will be at the forefront of Merkle's transformation to leverage data to be an intelligence driven organization and utilize emerging technologies such as AI to improve data quality and usage for business insights. This role will be crucial in executing Merkle's data strategy on data governance, enterprise data management and master data management that will positively impact the performance of our service line and functional teams.

The BSA functions as a liaison between the end users and the dentsu technical team. The purpose of this role is drive requirements for projects and solutions. Working directly with end user to ensure accurate documentation is captured, and the provide general subject matter expertise on how to capture requirements that meet data management needs to capture how data is received, validated, and used in downstream systems/processes. BSA drives requirements feasibility analysis based on business priorities and data availability. This role will work directly with the project manager and architect to ensure all functional and nonfunctional requirements are well documented, understood and adequately traced to end user testing.


Responsibilities

  • Own solution requirements gathering working with key stakeholders
  • Elicits and documents data/system requirements through written and verbal methods
  • Rationalize data, business and process requirements and translate all the inputs into functional design.
  • Synthesizes complex information into concise, readable, unambiguous written requirements
  • Own data analysis to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met.
  • Communicates at very high level, both written and verbal, to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Validates incoming data attributes aligned with defined field values to ensure proper use cases are applied
  • Possesses higher-level understanding of database and data management concepts and principles
  • Applies quality assurance techniques and best practice

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5+ years of technology implementation experience in the field of data management
  • 5+ years' experience documenting requirements for the purposes of scope management, design, development and testing enablement through traceability
  • 5+ years' experience working with various methodologies including Agile
  • Hands on experience with relational design concepts [e.g., table design, table relationships, primary and foreign key designations].
  • Experience with user acceptance testing
  • Strong customer service orientation; consistently meet commitments; demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

Additional Information


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $78,000k- $126,500k. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
