I. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst works directly with stakeholders from all internal business units and related third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements for our business and residential products, continuous improvement, and information technology initiatives.
The Business Analyst may assist with defining project scope, costs and timelines; creating and executing test plans; and data analysis and database queries.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Perform requirements analysis.
- Document and communicate the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
- Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
- Provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
- Allocate resources and maintain cost efficiency.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Perform user acceptance testing.
- Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.
- Update, implement and maintain processes and procedures.
- Prioritize initiatives based on prioritized business needs and requirements.
- Be an interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units.
- Manage competing resources and priorities.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
III. DISTINCTION OF POSITION LEVELS:
A. Level I - Performs the job at a satisfactory level but may require regular supervision.
B. Level II - Performs the job at a satisfactory level and requires occasional coaching.
C. Level III - Exhibits skill mastery, little or no coaching

IV. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

A. Education:
Required education:
- Degree in business, information technology, or related field with formal training in database, computer technology, or process / systems analysis.
Desired education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Communications, Economics, Finance or MIS; or degree that combines business and information management certifications
B. Experience:
Required experience:
- At least two years in accounting, financial reporting, or process / systems analysis.
Additional desired experience:
- Experience working in telecom or an information technology field.
- Experience or certifications for SalesForce.com, ESRI, or ERP systems.
- Experience working on projects related to implementing new processes or systems

- Strong communication skills with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

- Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with 45+ WPM keyboarding.
- Aptitude for learning new material quickly.

- Ability to solve problems independently, quickly and completely and to communicate them clearly to management.
- Must be able to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel and Database functions.
V. ADDITIONAL REQIREMENTS:
Valid Oklahoma driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle appropriate for the job position.

VII. WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
