SAIC is seeking a Program Coordinator to assist NASA’s Biological &Physical Sciences Division with programmatic support, strategic communications, and IT maintenance for the division. This includes providing executive officer support directly to BPS’ Director and Deputy Director in areas of administration needs, process management, communications, and retreats/program meetings. To conduct this work, the Program Coordinator may be required to travel to BPS quarterlies, conferences, or other events outside of the DC metro area.
Job Description:
- Perform general data collection and analysis on the portfolio of 200+ active BPS programs and support collection and analysis of periodic schedules and risk data.
- Help organize, maintain, and track leadership and division priorities; improve/create communications and track project/program performance within the division.
- Collect/analyze portfolio risks and mitigation strategies; and document, communicate, and monitor, BPS strategies.
- Help validate the functionality of the system and ensure that data is properly captured, summarized, and interpreted to add value to the participating centers and BPS leadership in the form of accessible features, displays, visualizations and reports as applicable.
- Prepare informal documentation of repeated processes; share documentation with BPS leadership on NASA’s BPS SharePoint site.
- Collaborate with BPS and SMD program staff to create and verify accurate and relevant content on public-facing webpages.
- Store date- and source-tagged posted graphics, for graphics re-use and verification, in shared NASA repositories such as OneDrive.
- Meet at least monthly with the Division Director and Deputy Director to support discussions and updates re: BPS communications strategy, stored online.
- Support deliverance of an updated Communication Strategy document annually.
- Implement communications strategy by developing and tracking communications, stakeholders, messages, and mediums for BPS communications ensuring the right audience is delivered the right message at the right time.
- Assist BPS in public and internal messaging for conferences and BPS quarterlies through in-person and virtual attendance.
- Support requests for contributory materials from SMD leadership.
- Use NASA’s NF 1676 process of obtaining content owner/manager approvals when required, to ensure technical material is suitable for public release.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
Desired Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years’ experience and have a basic understanding of program and project management.
Required Experience:
- Ability to work in teams and coordinate.
- Work on-site at NASA Headquarters during core hours, to ensure collaboration, facilitate communication, and build teams. Telework is by exception.
- Ability to work in an office environment daily, lift office parcels such as boxes of paper and media.
- Ability to travel up to 2 times a year in support of Division leadership’s initiatives.
- Shall possess demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint, and general teleconferencing and web conferencing support activities.
- Candidate should be familiar with government consulting and have experience working in an office environment. They should be self-motivated and capable of working independently but also be able to function in team environments with shared responsibilities.
Desired Certifications:
- PMP certification or in progress.
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
