Burbank entertainment marketing agency is seeking a part time QuickBooks Bookkeeper with strong Excel skills to directly support the Accounting/HR Manager. This position is currently 10 -12 hours per week with a flexible, regular schedule and potential for additional hours in the future. Candidates must be very knowledgeable in QuickBooks Desktop and truly love working with Excel spreadsheets.
What you’ll do:
QuickBooks Desktop Bookkeeping
A/P
A/R
Download and categorize credit card charges
Bank reconciliations
Assist with payroll (Intuit)
Job Cost Accounting
Review timekeeping other relevant data to create job cost reports quickly and accurately. This is a key responsibility so comfort with Excel, an eye for spotting discrepancies, and ability to manage several moving parts is imperative.
General
Prepare quarterly commission reports
Manage filing/filing system
Assist with light HR projects such as preparing new hire paperwork
Additional reports and special projects as needed
Our ideal candidate is
Experienced with QuickBooks – specifically Desktop (2+ years)
Mac proficient
Analytically minded and enjoys solving small accounting mysteries
Highly accurate
Comfortable asking questions when data seems unclear and/or discrepancies are located
Well organized with both electronic data and physical files
Excellent at communication and collaboration
Equally comfortable when working independently and when directly supervised
What we offer
$25/hour
10 – 12 hours per week. Days can be flexible to work around outside commitments, but we would like to set a regular schedule.
