Position Title: Bookkeeper
Job Summary
Experienced Bookkeepers to maintain financial records, prepare bank reconciliations and record all financial transactions of our clients. They perform accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
Position responsibilities:
- Recording of all transactions (bills, invoices, withdrawals, and deposits) in Quickbooks Online/Xero.
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Cash Flow and Budget Management
- Preparation of Weekly & Monthly Reports, Weekly/Monthly Balance Sheet (Statement of Financial Position), Weekly/Monthly P&L (Income Statement), Weekly/Monthly Budget vs. Actual, and other Customer Reports as required.
- Preparation of cash flow projections or budgets and forecasts, financial reports, and analysis
- Maintain and Manage Chart of Accounts
- Process Payroll: including set-up, scheduling, and frequency and preparation of contractor’s 1099
- Preparation of Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable billing and collection
- Audit of transactions and balances
- Set up of accounts in Quickbooks Online/Xero
Required Qualifications / Experiences:
- Government contract bookkeeping experience
- Bachelors in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of Accounting and/or Bookkeeping
- Payroll Experience
- Proficient in Quickbooks and Xero (desktop & online)
- In-depth knowledge in bookkeeping budgeting and forecasting
- Customer service oriented
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the preparation of bank reconciliations
- With excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must have strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Must have the strong work ethic and pleasing personality
- Must have an understanding of US Payroll
- Previous experience working for a US accounting firm will be highly regarded
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
