Jay London Homes and London Construction & Development is a custom home building company and commercial developer. We are seeking a bookeeper to assist the CFO with the Bookeeping for Jay London Homes and eventually all companies owned by London Enterprises.

Seeking a person that is VERY fluent and knowledgeable with the construction software management system BuilderTrend specifically and Quickbooks online.

Duties will include checking company email for invoices, saving invoices as PDFs into correct home address file, sending email with all electronic copies of weekly invoices for approvals. After approval, enter each invoice into the budget on the correct home and cost code line item, replacing the placeholder amount. Upload each invoice into the corresponding PO and making a payment on the POs for the correct amount so that it feeds to QBO. Entering and cutting checks from QBO along with other booking tasks.
Emails for invoice approval must be sent by noon on Thursdays CST.
POs must be entered, and all steps above completed by Friday at 3pm CST
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account analysis, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and BuilderTrend, possess strong attention to detail, and have a solid understanding of general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks & BuilderTrend
- Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting principles
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making processes
Qualifications:
- Proven minimum 5 year experience as a Bookkeeper for a constuction base company
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks onine and BuilderTrend
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Familiarity with account analysis techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in 10-key typing for data entry purposes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
