Bookkeeper Accountant Cannabis

We are looking for honest, accountable, trustworthy team members. We respect eachothers' time and opinions. We have a hands-off management approach, but have clear and specific expectations and deadlines.

Our work environment is remote and allows employees autonomy to choose when they work and where they do their work. We will train in the specifics of cannabis accounting, but there will also be work with non-cannabis clients as well.

We are looking for someone with the following areas of experience:

• Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis

• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner

• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments

• Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition

• Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data

• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards

• 5-10 years at least relevant experience in bookkeeping

• Quickbooks Online experience

• Google Drive experience a plus

• Experience with accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger

• High degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail

• We are hands off company, but expect quality work. Working remotely requires strong self motivation - self starters are a must!
