The Bookkeepers key responsibilities encompass exercising independent judgment in financial and accounting practices, managing Accounts Payable, maintaining the Chart of Accounts for Trust clients, and reconciling accounts. The Bookkeeper is also responsible for processing office equipment and supply orders, maintaining inventory, and completing task lists provided by the Controller at the End of Week and End of Month. Other duties include processing Trust check requests, managing vendor files and payment records, ensuring the destruction of financial and client records, handling Trust settlement check deposits and distributions, and completing required monthly metrics reports. Additionally, the role involves research and communication with vendors on an as-needed basis, along with other responsibilities as assigned.
