Paladin Consulting is currently hiring a Billing Specialistto join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Carrollton, TX.

Job Title:Billing Specialist
Work Location:Carrollton, TX
Duration: contract with option to extend or hire
Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent;1+ yearsof experience

• Primary responsibilities are to support the Billing Manager, by accurately invoicing, collecting and recording cash, checks and credit card payments to an appropriate account.
• Create accurate invoices in a timely manner.
• Collect payment from walk-ins and delivery drivers
• Accurately complete all appropriate paperwork in a timely manner
• Respond to phone calls from customers wanting to make payments to their accounts. Accurately record all transactions.
• Document all customer discrepancies and/or account issues in Syspro.
• Close register at end of the day.
• Answer main line phone calls and distribute them to appropriate departments.
• Distribute payroll checks.
• Check in delivery drivers, collecting and recording all payments.
• Audit manifests
• Accurately process credit card payments and conduct a check verification according to policy.
• Assists Manager with special projects as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ yearsof experience
• Strong computer skills with experience in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must be able to complete data entry tasks with accuracy.
• Ability to accurately perform basic math functions.
• Strong communication skills, able to communicate verbally and in writing, in English.
• Heavy customer service skills, able to quickly assess and respond to customer calls.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations, in a very busy environment.
• Must be organized with great attention to detail and follow through skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to multi-task, completing tasks accurately and courteously.
• Strong telephone skills
• Ability to know when to resolve an issue and when it should be escalated to the manager.
• Familiarity with payment terms
• Experience using Syspro a plus

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
