Medical Billing Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for our client in Dallas, TX. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent after the initial contract tenure and will be 100% onsite and a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and determine the correct codes and charges for billing purposes

• Submit insurance claims electronically or by mail to insurance companies, government agencies, or other third-party payers

• Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or rejected claims and resolve billing errors or discrepancies

• Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to obtain missing or incomplete billing information

• Maintain patient billing records and financial information in a secure and confidential manner

• Respond to patient inquiries about their medical bills and explain billing procedures and policies

• Meet billing and collection metrics as expected by the management team

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of Medical Billing procedures and coding standards, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, certification or diploma in Medical Billing or related field preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Medical Billing and coding or revenue cycle experience required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR experience required

Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
