Medical Billing Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for our client in Dallas, TX. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent after the initial contract tenure and will be 100% onsite and a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
Review patient medical records and determine the correct codes and charges for billing purposes
Submit insurance claims electronically or by mail to insurance companies, government agencies, or other third-party payers
Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or rejected claims and resolve billing errors or discrepancies
Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to obtain missing or incomplete billing information
Maintain patient billing records and financial information in a secure and confidential manner
Respond to patient inquiries about their medical bills and explain billing procedures and policies
Meet billing and collection metrics as expected by the management team
Skills
Excellent knowledge of Medical Billing procedures and coding standards, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required, certification or diploma in Medical Billing or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in Medical Billing and coding or revenue cycle experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR experience required
Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
