JOB SUMMARY
The production supervisor plans, schedules, and directs production operations to meet productivity, safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals, ensuring adherence to company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct, monitor daily activities of production associates for productivity, quality, and safety.
- Manage material handling area's activities and labor performance.
- Motivate, mentor, and resolve conflicts among employees.
- Take timely corrective actions following company policy.
- Conduct meetings to engage employees, communicate policy changes, address concerns, and encourage suggestions.
- Participate in staff selection, evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Evaluate business demand, prioritize work assignments, and manage staffing.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain production documentation.
- Implement lean principles like 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban.
- Ensure a safe work environment through safety training and SOP reviews.
- Coordinate with safety department for training, safety inspections, and accident investigations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent education and experience combination.
Experience
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
Professional Skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.
- Read, analyze, and interpret business documents.
- Provide training on SOPs, safety, and conduct.
- Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Identify and solve problems promptly.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
