SalaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This position requires strong knowledge of medical coding systems and terminology. Candidate must be bilingual.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to identify appropriate codes for billing purposes
- Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using , ICD-10 and other coding systems
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Medical Billing system
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding
Skills
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding systems, including ICD-10
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of Medical Billing processes and insurance claim submission
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing tasks
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
