Billing Coordinator

North Dallas Law Firm looking for a Billing Coordinator to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain client billing records and update account information as needed
• Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials
• Prepare electronic invoices using LEDES files; submit electronic invoices to clients via their designated electronic billing system and verify successful submissions.
• Ability to handle complex billing and client requests
• Ability to interact and communicate with attorneys, administrative staff and clients
• Ensure monthly billing is completed by firm deadlines
• Understand and apply firm policies
• Understand and comply with client billing guidelines
• Follow up on issues until resolution
• Matter recordkeeping

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Billing Coordinator in a legal setting
• Strong knowledge of legal billing processes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly proficient with client portals and ebilling (LEDES)
• 1 - 2 years law firm billing experience with all aspects of the billing process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
