Responsibilities:
Teaching in the BSN, MSN, BSN to DNP, and/or Post-Master’s DNP Programs. Primary responsibilities include Instruction, advising, research and service. The candidate should demonstrate ongoing intellectual competence and professional development.
Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations and are responsible for face-to-face, clinical and/or online instruction of undergraduate and/or graduate students in a competitive, technology-rich learning environment. Applicants are expected to describe their commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment through their research, teaching, and/or service activities.
Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in nursing and eligibility for RN licensure in Louisiana is required. Licensure and certification as an APRN (Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), and previous experience teaching at the MSN and/or DNP levels in an online environment are strongly preferred.
Candidates for a tenure track position at the rank of Associate Professor must demonstrate a record of effective teaching, and active scholarly and research productivity which must include peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and a commitment to service as relevant to a faculty role in a designated Research 1 (R1) university.
