Job Title: Associate Director of Development Services

Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Development Services plays a crucial role in our organization’s funding efforts by writing grants and cultivating donor relationships. This position works closely with the Director of Operations and Business Development to strategize and execute fundraising campaigns, seeking out grant opportunities, and nurturing relationships with individual and institutional donors. Your work will directly contribute to securing funds to support our organization's goals and positively impacting the communities we serve.
Essential Functions
· Identify, research, and evaluate grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
· Develop compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports, adhering to deadlines and requirements.
· Collaborate with department program staff to gather information and data needed for grant applications.
· Maintain a grant tracking system to monitor deadlines, requirements, and progress.
· Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, major donors, and institutional partners.
· Create and implement strategies for donor engagement, including personalized communications, events, and recognition programs.
· Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
· Contribute to developing fundraising materials, including brochures, annual reports, and donor appeals.
· Collaborate to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
· Assist in preparing the development department's budget and financial projections.
· Stay informed about trends in fundraising, grant opportunities, and donor preferences.
· Conduct prospect research to identify potential new donors and funding sources.
· Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and reporting obligations.
· Maintain up-to-date records of donations, pledges, and interactions with donors.
Education, Experience, and Skills Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, nonprofit management, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
· Minimum of 8 years of experience in grant writing, donor relations, or fundraising.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent research and analytical abilities.
· Knowledge of nonprofit sector regulations and best practices.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively and meet fundraising goals.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
· Commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit organization.
