Summary / Objective
We are a Home Infusion Therapy Pharmacy looking for an Administrative Assistant. We are a fast-paced office looking for a qualified individual to run our day-to-day operations. As an Administrative Assistant, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, be able to problem solve efficiently, work independently, and show initiative towards tasks. All applicants must be motivated to work hard alongside other staff, possess superior communication skills and be highly organized. You will be the face of the pharmacy and your ability to communicate with patients, physicians and insurance providers is paramount. This multifaceted position offers a unique combination of office duties, so your day is never boring. MacOS, Adobe Acrobat Pro proficiency, Knowledge of Medical Terminology, and being able to multitask efficiently is required. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones, emails, and office front door
- Receive and enter new intake referrals into multiple platforms
- Maintain electronic patient records as documents are received
- Coordinate with patients and facilities to obtain any necessary documents
- Assist and collaborate with department directors
- Administrative duties as requested by department directors
- Consistent and accurate data entry on multiple platforms
- Technologically savvy and able to manipulate/edit/create documents
- Track and order all office or miscellaneous supplies
- Ensure adherence to office policies and procedures
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the office
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA/HiTech

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to follow directions
- Excellent computer skills required
- Proficient with MacOS, Salesforce and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Gastroenterology clinical knowledge a plus
- Pharmaceutical / Home Infusion Therapy experience a plus
- Home Healthcare experience a plus
- Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions
- Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records
- Work within parameters of integrity and passion for the best possible outcome for all patients

Job Requirements
- History of Administrative Assistant role and responsibilities for a minimum of 3 years
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Associates degree or medical certificate
- Knowledge of administrative processes and principles

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
