HOURS: PART-TIME APPROXIMATELY, 15 - 20 HOURS A WEEK, MONDAY-FRIDAY
Join Our Team as an Administrative Assistant at Back to Basics Learning Dynamics!
Are you a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills and a passion for making a difference in education? Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant dedicated to support the Education Director of Augustine Hills School, our renowned 1:1 private school, as well as other departments within our organization.
As the ideal candidate, you possess previous marketing and design experience, impeccable attention to detail, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You thrive in a dynamic work environment and can handle multiple tasks with ease. This position is approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexible daytime hours, Monday-Friday.
This is also an in-person position, and you must be willing and able to come into the office in our Wilmington, DE location.
In your role as the assistant to the Education Director and as an Admin Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting new Teacher and Parent/Student orientations
- Maintaining attendance records and preparing DOE reports
- Managing book orders and distribution for students and teachers
- Facilitating communication between teachers, parents, and students
- Distributing school communications as needed
- Creating and distributing report cards and transcripts
- Organizing field trips and arranging guest speakers
- Scheduling parent-teacher meetings and other teacher meetings
- Sending summer reading lists and re-registration letters
- Updating and modifying school materials as needed
- Planning graduation ceremonies
- Assisting with practice SATs and SAT practice test scoring
- Monitoring SAT/ACT communications
- Overseeing Credit Recovery/Reporting
In addition to supporting the Education Director, you will assist other departments within Back to Basics. Your responsibilities may include aiding the HR Manager in recruitment and onboarding, creating digital marketing materials and flyers for the Executive Director, and maintaining files. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, secretary, or receptionist
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Positive, high-energy attitude
- Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Zoom, MS Office, Google Docs, and Canva is a plus.
