Administrative Assistant
Kern Podiatric Group (KPG) has been providing comprehensive foot and ankle care to the greater Chicagoland area for over 33 years. We serve a largely senior population throughout northeastern Illinois in over 60 assisted living, skilled nursing, and senior apartment communities across the region. General Responsibilities:
- Access to a reliable car and driver’s license is required for this position in order to run local errands (primarily mail pick-up and delivery and occasional site visits)
- Answering phones, relaying messages
- Appointment Scheduling / Calendar Management
- Patient communications and problem resolution, both on the phone and in person
- Regular written and verbal communication with physicians, nurses, staff of our partner communities
- Communication with insurance providers
- Maintenance of electronic and paper records and accounts
- Tracking inventory
- Training/On-boarding new staff
General Skills/Experience Required:
- Associates degree or higher (Or comparable experience)
- 2+ years administrative experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel and Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to various situations
- Attention to detail
- Strong math skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
Additional skills/experience (preferred, not required):
- Managerial experience
- Proficient in insurance eligibility and benefit verification
- Basic knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid
- Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Data Entry and Database management
- Electronic Medical Records System (Sevocity)
Salary is commensurate with education and experience

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
