The Administrative Assistant II is responsible for the day-to-day administrative support of the department. This position will work closely with the department Chair, duties include:
- Coordinating departmental activities, including but not limited to academic events, recruitment events, faculty activities, and student organization functions
- Serve as the point of contact for purchasing
- Communicating with faculty and students, university officials, and the public
- Gathering data and preparing reports
- Compose letters and draft correspondence
- Ensure confidentiality of information
- Answering inquiries according to standard departmental procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualification
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 2 years of administrative office experience
Other Preferences for Consideration
- Associate degree preferred
- Experience in higher education preferred
