ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Home Hospice department
Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday
7:30am - 4:30pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists with functions of home hospice to maximize effective and efficient coordination of resources to address the needs of patients and families.
Provides secretarial functions such as faxing, scanning, typing, mail sorting and copying.
Generates and emails weekly/biweekly/monthly reports or documents (PPOC list, MAC’s, patients with missing funeral homes, list of patients without DNR, weekly census).
Works in collaboration with other departments.
Maintains adequate supplies of hospice handbooks and medication labels.
Provides secretarial assistance to supervisors, staff and the Director of Home Hospice.
Assist with the scheduling of patient procedures.
Drafts correspondence for care coordination of patients.
Coordinates meetings, audio-conferences and webcast set-up, sign-on/ off, and paperwork follow-up.
Assists with room reservation needs for home hospice.
Processes and distributes patient & patient related communication a timely manner.
Assists with the maintenance of forms.
Assists with data collection, audits, and reports on home hospice
Schedules hospice aide services for home hospice patients, utilizing Suncoast scheduling software
Serves as a back up to receptionists in Lancaster in answering organizational phone calls
Maintains Suncoast Solutions database, including patients, physicians, nursing homes, hospitals, and pharmacies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or GED required
Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet applications.
Be able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts to the organization
Handle multiple projects and details simultaneously
Requires self-direction

* Must work a minimum of 64 hours per two-week pay period
