Compensation

Job Summary
This position will perform administrative functions for the Quality Control Department.
Main Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and related requests
- Coordinate mix design submittals to both internal and external customers
- Assist internal/external customers with QC related issues
- Prepare Purchase Orders, receive and process invoices for payment
- Assist and/or lead special projects
- Assist other departments as needed
- Perform clerical functions including but not limited to data entry, typing, filing and the purchase and tracking of supplies
- Schedule and work with outside vendors to service the department’s operational needs
Education/ Experience
- One (1) year office/clerical experience with shown understanding of business procedures including letter and report formats
- Proven understanding of administrative tasks and functions of a construction materials laboratory, preferred
Skills
- Ability to be detailed and accurate when preparing letters and reports
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good basic math skills
- Shown understanding of office procedure including letter and report formats
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the requirement emerge
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need emerge
- Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
- Ability to see clearly or with assistance via vital correction
