The primary responsibility of an Administrative Assistant I is to provide administrative support to assist with operation of the office. An Administrative Assistant I should support managers, employees, and students through a variety of tasks related to meeting the needs of the department. An Administrative Assistant I should effectively communicate via phone and email to ensure all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Knowledgeable and proficient in computer skills, which allows for the use of computer related technology.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to secure confidential material, as needed.
- Possess excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot printers, postage machines, and copiers.
