Job Summary: The Office/Shipping Coordinator position at MPE's headquarters in Chicago is a full-time, direct, onsite role. The role involves front office responsibilities related to accounting and customer service, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers to collect debts and resolve outstanding balances.
- Convey past due statements to customers.
- Prepare and disburse invoices to customers through email or mail.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to maintain schedules for capital equipment orders.
- Handle issues arising in the shipping of parts or equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international large shipments.
- Review and process new orders for capital equipment.
- Create customer reports for equipment repairs.
- Organize expense reports and subsequent invoices for customer service visits.
- Manage all customer invoices.
- Process and post customer payments.
Skills and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience with an ERP system.
- Previous experience in an accounting or customer service role.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- High organizational skills.
- Independent team player.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- High attention to detail.
