The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for:
- Process customer cash receipts and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Working independently with overall direction from the Supervisor, Accounts Receivable.
Primary duties and responsibilities of theAccounts Receivable Associate:
- Prepare bank deposits (manual deposits) as assigned, date stamp remits.
- Process all customer modes of payment: Lockbox, Check deposits, Direct Deposits, and Credit Card Payments.
- Access and process third party vendor credit card on file payments
- Track and balance related cash batches to ensure month end close is accurately reported.
- Download, import and store daily files from BMO Harris related to the different pay methods.
- Research and resolve and follow up with customers on account inquiries related to short payments and over payments.
- Accurate analysis and storage of daily remittances and cash application details
- Work directly with internal staff (CDM, Membership, International) to resolve payment discrepancies and accurately record cash.
- Assist with other projects in department as needed.
- Provide supporting documentation during annual audit

- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
Professional:
- General knowledge of accounting.
- Good understanding of different financial ERP systems navigation

Technical:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Good analytical and math skills
- Experience with customer support and financial systems
Education:
- High school graduate.
Experience:
- 2 years experience in accounting department:
- Preferably in cash application or Accounts Receivable.
