Position Overview: Himes Service Company is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall efficiency of our fast-paced office in Waco, Texas. Full-time or part-time opportunity available!

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment terms and company policies.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements and promptly resolve discrepancies or issues.
• Assist with expense reports, credit card receipt reconciliation, and weekly per diem.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role; One or more years of experience in a service-related industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clerical and bookkeeping procedures.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is preferred.
• Familiarity with debits, credits, and basic accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or issues.
• Professional behavior with effective communication skills; proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take direction from multiple sources.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
