Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial services.

Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Receivable transactions, including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling discrepancies
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with collection efforts
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and update customer information as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any billing or payment issues
- Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support during audits
- Perform data entry tasks to update financial records and maintain accuracy in the system
- Adhere to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance guidelines in all financial processes

Skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounts payable experience in a law firm or professional services setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.28 - $25.63 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
