Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the admin and financial relationships with our clients. This is a key role that requires strong accounts receivable skills, being proactive about upcoming payment issues, checking on payments due, setting up client payment agreements.

We will check references and background.

Must have a professional background (for Zoom) and a working computer.

Team member is paid as a Contractor.

Duties:
- The duties of an accounts receivable assistant may vary depending on the specific needs of the organization, but typically they involve tasks related to managing the inflow of funds owed to the company. Here's a comprehensive list of duties that an accounts receivable assistant might be responsible for:

1. **Invoicing**: Generate and send out invoices to customers based on services rendered or products sold.

2. **Receipts and Payments**: Record payments received from customers accurately and promptly in the accounting system.

3. **Customer Relations**: Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances courteously and professionally.

4. **Collections**: Follow up on overdue accounts by contacting customers via phone, email, or mail to facilitate payment.

5. **Account Reconciliation**: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

6. **Aging Reports**: Generate and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts.

7. **Credit Checks**: Conduct credit checks on new customers to assess creditworthiness and establish credit limits.

8. **Posting Transactions**: Post and allocate payments accurately to customer accounts, ensuring proper classification and coding.

11. **Reporting**: Prepare and distribute periodic reports summarizing accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and collection activities.

Hours are flexible - ideal is 2 or 3 hours of work, 3-4 days a week *during business hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
