South Jersey Yacht Sales is a leader in the boating industry and has been serving the boating community for over 40 years. Our expansion and growth have created the need to fill key positions to keep up with the demands in the boating industry. We are seeking a full time Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our efficient and hard-working team at our beautiful new headquarters in Somers Point, NJ. This is not a remote position.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable.
- Ability to meet all deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Capacity to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Familiarity of accounting software and/or other programs. Lightspeed DMS knowledge is a definite plus minimum of 2-5 years of demonstrated accounts payable experience.
- Familiarity with the boating industry is also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collect/record and deposit receivables.
- Review EFT payments and post accordingly.
- Reconcile credit card statements.
- Review vendor invoices to ensure proper approval prior to entering invoices for payment.
- Work closely with managers to ensure proper coding of invoices, expense reports & check requests.
- Prepare A/R monthly statements and oversee collections.
- Resolve vendor issues/concerns and reconcile vendor statements.
- Ensure tax reporting information is obtained from vendors and accurately recorded and processed.
- Match checks to vendor invoices and prepare checks for mailing.
- Accurately file vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Assist with year-end 1099 preparation.
- Maintain files.
- Order office supplies.
- Other special projects as assigned.
