Job Description
This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager, and interacts with the Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Logistics staff.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices for payment in Plex (our ERP system), including vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Assist with weekly supplier payments
- Field calls and emails from suppliers regarding invoices and payment status. Work with suppliers to assist in resolving AP related issues
- Match po and receiving documentation to proper invoice and verify correct billing price
- Send invoices to respective individuals for approval
- Keep financial information confidential
- Make recommendations to improve quality of supplier payables, payments, and debit memo processes
- Adhere to company and department policies and procedures
- Monitor outstanding account balances for determination of any needed next steps
- Assist with reconciling sub-ledger reports with the G/L
- Assist in administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 – 3 years of Accounts Payable experience and have a good understanding of accounting
- Must possess a strong attention to detail, analytical thinker
- Extremely organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong team player and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Plex a plus
