Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities include:
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables via the accounting software.
- Cut and mail manual checks from the accounting software once a week.
- Manage the corporate credit card expenses and payments.
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner.
- Ensure there is appropriate support to validate the expenses before payment is made.
- Other tasks within the Accounting Department as necessary
Microsoft Word/Excel knowledge, excellent computer and math skills, attention to detail and managing deadlines are a must. Experience with Construction AIA Pay Applications, Sworn Statements, Lien Waivers, and Change Orders is a plus.
Person must be organized, a self-starter and able to work with others as well as independently. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
