Scope of Responsibility
Cascade Engineering has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist working independently in all accounting areas.
Location: EastPlant (5175 36th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)
Target Pay: $45,949 - $63,180.00 per year
Hours: Day Shift (starting at 30 hours a week or more)
Responsibilities
Day to Day - Review and record invoices from vendors, including matching purchase orders and receivers to invoices. Monitors recurring invoices to ensure receipt and timely payments. Processing weekly check run by scheduling vendor payment checks
Customer Focus - Works with vendors, purchasing, and business units regarding payment status inquiries and to resolve invoice and payment issues
Project Management - Understands cash flow cycle from purchase order to payment and the role of the Accounts Payable department. Administers policies and procedures of the finance area as they relate to the responsibilities assigned. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Associate’s degree with 2+ years related experience or HS diploma/GED with 3+ years related experience in accounting/general business administration
- Knowledgeable in fully integrated ERP systems, QAD Preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills to handle requests from vendors
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Detail oriented with organization skills
- A sense of humor
