Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description
Process expense reimbursement request and general administrative invoices, as well as billing from our suppliers and subcontractors by making sure they have the proper approvals, proof of delivery, their costs match purchase order, and are assigned to the correct budget codes.
Principal responsibilities:
- Code all invoices to correct project number and activity code or identify costs as indirect costs or SGA expenditures
- Compare invoices to purchase orders, terms of payment and review for other charges such as freight
- Obtain approvals for all invoices following company guidelines
- Record all invoices into custom accounting software
- Weekly checks runs and manual/voids as required
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve any issues or inquiries related to Accounts Payable
- Assist in year-end audit process
- Provide internal reports regarding payment history and status
- Understand and follow our Corporate Quality Manual and Procedures
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in job costing environment
- Ability to work with a high volume of payables in a fast paced environment
- Very detail oriented
- Problem solving and time management skills a must
- Commitment to enhancing knowledge and skills current through achievement of training goals
- Ability to clearly express ideas with professionalism and respect both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to assist others when needed, listen to ideas, exchange information and promote cooperation both internally and externally
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement by applying knowledge and experience to enhance operations, including a willingness to accept new responsibilities and processes

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
